ABOUT THE BRAND
DAN LIEM is a women’s footwear label based and located in Jakarta, Indonesia. DAN LIEM explores the beauty of Indonesia through different perspectives and express it with modern silhouette. Rich in its cultures, DAN LIEM exposing every pieces of collection through a distinctive character and reinterpreting the designs with conceptual, bold with different type of traditional patterns.
Employing the talent of local artisans and the hand of local shoemaker, all of DAN LIEM’s products are beautifully crafted and handmade locally in Indonesia using its finest Indonesian fabrics mix with high quality materials. Upholding the use of #PositiveFashion, DAN LIEM attempted to reduce the use of materials containing animals and appreciating the work of the artisans who made our products. Our goal is to bring local product to the global market.
THE DESIGNER
Born and raised in Jakarta, Danny Suyandi Liem pursued his bachelor's degree in Business and continue studying footwear design at Istituto di Moda Burgo and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He's currently studying MA Footwear at London College of Fashion, UAL.
His background in social impact business and the fashion industry has helped him to accelerate and translate the knowledge of sustainable fashion and social impact business to his eponymous label. He's currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia running his business as a creative director.
